China's "Snow Dragon" polar explorer has entered the Antarctic Pole Circle.

After extensive data collection and experiments, scientists onboard have reached the conclusion that sea ice change is an important factor in global climate change.

Sea ice is frozen seawater that floats on the ocean's surface, covering millions of square kilometers. The ice forms and melts with polar seasons, affecting both human activity and biological habitat. Its impact on climate change has long been in doubt. But now scientists onboard "Snow Dragon" have determined that changes in sea ice do indeed exacerbate climate change.
