The "Snow Dragon" polar explorer has been sailing for nearly one month, covering over 6,000 nautical miles as it heads to Antarctica. In the last month, the crew has moved from winter to summer and now it feels like winter again.

The "Snow Dragon" is now sailing in the capricious Westerly Wind Belt. The area has been generally calm recently but the vessel has encountered strong winds and high waves. It experienced its first snow of the expedition on Tuesday morning.

The "Snow Dragon" set out from Shanghai on November 12th and crossed the equator ten days later. The temperature will continue to drop as the ship heads to its destination.
