China´s 24th expedition sails near Philippines

The ship carrying China's 24th expedition to Antarctica has reached waters near the Philippines as it continues its journey south.

Some of the scientists on board the Snow Dragon are having trouble finding their sea legs. With waves of more than three meters high, many of them are suffering from sea sickness.

The Snow Dragon set off on its expedition a week ago. Its main task during the half-year mission will be exploration of Dome A, the highest point on the Antarctic ice cap.
