Palestinian president to visit Poland next week

WARSAW, Feb. 4 (Xinhua) -- President of the Palestine Authority Mahmud Abbas will pay an official visit to Poland on Monday, February 9, at the invitation from Polish President Lech Kaczynski

The Polish president has also invited to Poland a group of 70 Palestinian children from the Gaza Strip, Malgorzata Gosiewska of the Presidential Chancellery told Polish news agency PAP on Wednesday.

The children, aged 8-14, will be accompanied by psychologists. During their stay in Poland young Palestinians will attend therapy and undergo medical treatment.

The Presidential Chancellery has organized their visit together with Caritas Polska and Polish Medical Mission.
