He stressed talks between Fatah and Hamas would happen only if Hamas recognizes the Palestinian Liberation Organization, which is dominated by Abbas' Fatah faction.

Another condition stated by Abbas is that Hamas must recognize its obligations including committing to an Israeli-Palestinian two-state solution.
