Sun Zezhou, deputy designer of the lunar orbiting project satellite system, says the complicated system of orbits is needed to enhance the capabilities of the lunar orbiter. It also minimizes fuel consumption.

The lunar probe orbiter is domestically designed, mainly by the China Academy of Space Technology.

Tong Bin, the deputy general designer of the Beijing Aerospace Command and Control Center, explains what the control center is doing now.

Tong Bin said, "There still needs to be some correction during the remaining processes to ensure it arrives at the closest point to the moon on time and enters the moon's orbit safely. So far, the operation is working well with high precision."
