Heavy rainfall has also hit Dazhou city in Southwest China's Sichuan province.

Flooding has so far taken the lives of 8 people and injured 64 others. The rain has also caused several landslides, leaving more than three million people in some way affected, in and around the city.

Flash flooding and landslides triggered by three days of heavy rain have left eight people dead and 64 injured. So far, it is costing the area over 76 million yuan in losses.

Most areas in Dazhou city have had more than 100 millimeters of rainfall, leaving residents wading in water. In some areas, the rainfall peaked at 215 millimeters.
