Iran insists on nuclear power rights

Source: CCTV.com | 04-17-2007 09:17

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has again said that his country will never abandon its right to nuclear technology.

Ahmadinejad says Iranians will continue to strive to perfect nuclear technology and has defended their right to do so. He's also warned world powers not to use the UN Security Council as a threat against Iran.

Last week, Tehran said it had entered the industrial stage of uranium enrichment. This was widely misunderstood to mean that production had started.

In fact, the UN nuclear watchdog says only 300 centrifuges have been installed, and not the planned three thousand.
