IAEA chief hopes DPRK trip will help denuclearization

The chief of the international nuclear watchdog is hoping his upcoming trip to the DPRK will help lead to denuclearization. But Mohamed Elbaradei warns that progress will take time.

Mohamed Elbaradei said, "So I hope we can move forward, but again I should caution that this is the first step in a long process. We have lost a few years when there was no cooperation between DPRK and the international community and as a result of the six-party talks. As a result of the effort by China, we are now in a much more positive environment, and I'd like to capitalize on that. I'd like to continue to see that positive environment translated into concrete action."
