The premier said the Mainland hopes Taiwan will take measures to ease the investment of mainland enterprises and open its market to mainland products.

He called for discussing and solving political and military issues in a pragmatic approach under the "One China" principle.

Chien said he completely agrees with the proposition on peaceful development of cross-Strait relations, He says he believes the majority of people in Taiwan also welcome it.
