Chinese president Hu meets with state leaders

President Hu also met with Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd. The two leaders agreed to strengthen bilateral cooperation in trade and the fight against the financial crisis and climate change.

Hu also called for enhancing exchanges between leaders to strengthen trust and cooperation in fields like energy, science and technology and environmental protection.

Rudd said he's optimistic about the future of Australia-China ties, and Australia will work closely with China for the success of next financial summit.
