The visiting Tibetan delegation of China's National People's Congress has met with the Canadian House of Commons in Ottawa. Canada warmly welcomed the lawmakers, and hopes to boost bilateral ties.

The visiting Tibetan delegation of China's National People's  Congress has met with the Canadian House of Commons in Ottawa.  Canada warmly welcomed the lawmakers, and hopes to boost  bilateral ties.

At Monday's meeting, House Speaker Peter Milliken said the delegation's visit has brought Tibet's latest developments to Canada. He said China and Canada share broad interests, and the current economic recession makes bilateral cooperation even more important.

Milliken said the House wants better exchanges with China's NPC, and to help improve relations between their countries.
