Nyima Cering said, "We were sent on an very important mission. It was not the same as other mountain climbing missions because the world's eyes were focusing on us."

Successfully bringing the 2008 Beijing Olympic torch to the top Mount Qomolangma became the most memorable experience of his life. His father died when he was a little boy. He moved to Lhasa when he was thirteen and joined the Tibet Mountaineering Association when he was 23.

Nyima Cering said, "Tibet has lots of peak at high altitude. There are five peaks over eight-thousand meters, more than seventy peaks over seven-thousand meters, and countless peaks over six-thousand meters. When we grow up at high altitude, we naturally adapt for the climbing."

In 1999, Cering set up the Tibet Mountaineering Guide School. He has recruited students with good health and trained them to become professional climbers and guides in the Himalaya mountains. In 2001, the school became one of 117 projects supported by the central government. More than 10 million yuan was allocated to the school, which now boasts the most advanced facilities for mountain climbers. Nyima Cering now finds himself busier than ever to achieve further success in his life.
