Tourism in Tibet has picked up after last year's riots in March. The number of visitors has been on the rise over the past two months.
Tibet welcomed 121,000 tourist visits from China and abroad in January and February, four point eight percent higher than the same period last year. Revenues totaled nearly 100 million yuan, up nought point six percent compared to the last year.
Tibet launched a winter promotion late last year. Tourists could get 50 percent discounts to popular destinations like Lhasa, Nyingchi and Xigaze.
