Afghanistan, India to strengthen ties

India's Foreign Minister Pranab Mukherjee has gone to Kabul for talks with Afghan counterpart, Rangin Dadfar Spanta.

On Wednesday, they raised a range of concerns with Muhkerjee later visiting President Hamid Karzai.

The two countries have signed a joint anti-terrorism declaration.

India is investing heavily in Afghanistan and is the sixth largest donor for reconstruction of the country's roads, power infrastructure and also health and education services.

Relations between the two have gained fresh importance since November's deadly attacks in India's Mumbai.
