Poll: Most Taiwan residents support cross-Straits talks

A Taiwan resident said, "I will support it as long as it benefits people on both sides of the straits."
A Taiwan resident said, "We don't need to transfer planes. It's more convenient and economical. There are more advantages than disadvantages."
The survey, released by Taiwan's Mainland Affairs Council on Sunday, said more than 70 percent of people on the island supported the regular cross-Strait talks mechanism.
More than 60 percent believed the agreements were good for Taiwan's economy.
