Yok Mu-ming says the agreements reached during Chen Yunlin's five-day visit to Taiwan could boost economic development.

Yok Mu-ming said, "The signing of four agreements on direct shipping, air transport, postal services and food safety, opens the door of exchanges between the mainland and the island. It also hews out a way for Taiwan's economy during the crisis."

Yok says the majority of Taiwan residents support the two sides holding talks and reaching agreements on issues of mutual interest.

Yok Mu-ming said, "Most Taiwan people are sincere, because they benefited Taiwan."

He urges residents in Taiwan to make full use of the agreements made during Chen's visit to build a solid basis for the development of the island.
