China´s top legislator visits key sector workers

Securing the country's energy is crucial. Top Legislator Wu Bangguo has visited the State Grid which supplies electricity to ninety percent of the nation.

Wu Bangguo expressed his gratitude to workers for their relief efforts. He stressed that the top priority is to restore power supply and resume service on the railways as soon as possible. He said various measures should be adopted to ensure people enjoy spring festival.

Wu Bangguo was briefed on the latest progress on repairs to the power supply. He pointed out that the power supply for the railways and people's needs were both pressing tasks. He also emphasized that safety should also be guaranteed during the disaster-relief process.

Wu Bangguo also visited the dispatching center in the Ministry of Communication, to inspect the overall railway transportation arrangement for the Spring Festival. He talked to the rail drivers through telephone who is working overtime to transport coal on Daqin railroad.
