On Thursday, the Chinese premier met political and business delegations from Japan. Their talks focused on Sino-Japanese ties with 2007 marking 35 years since the normalization of relations.

Both two sides have agreed to deepen their relationship.

The scale of Thursday's meetings was striking.

A total of four delegations, consisting of hundreds of political and business leaders from Japan, arrived simultaneously in China's capital.

Two political groups are led separately by former Japanese prime ministers Yoshiro Mori and Tomiichi Murayama; and two business associations are headed by Fujio Mitarai and Fujio Cho.
