China, Japan exchange congratulations

Saturday marked the 35th anniversary of the normalization of China-Japan diplomatic relations.

Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao exchanged congratulatory messages with his Japanese counterpart, Yasuo Fukuda.

Premier Wen said great progress has been made in developing bilateral ties in the past 35 years. He hopes the two countries will continue promoting the sound, stable and long-term development of bilateral relations.

Prime Minister Fukuda said he is pleased to see that bilateral exchanges and cooperation are advancing rapidly in various areas.
