The six-party talks for a nuclear-free Korean Peninsula resume today in Beijing.

Negotiators are expected to spend four days focusing on the specific measures to freeze and close nuclear facilities in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.

Yesterday, America's Christopher Hill met his DPRK counterpart, Kim Gye Gwan, for dinner.

The chief DPRK nuclear negotiator sounded upbeat for this session of Six-Party talks.

Chief DPRK nuclear envoy Kim Gye Gwan said, "During the dinner, we agreed to reach a resolution in the talks this time so as not to disappoint you guys."

His US counterpart was also optimistic.

Chief US nuclear envoy Christopher Hill said"We're looking forward to having disablement and declaration by the end of this year. It's a very ambitious process, but I think it is doable."

This time, negotiators will focus on the next stage in the denuclearization process on the Korean Peninsula.

This means the specific measures to be taken for the DPRK to declare all its nuclear programs and disable its nuclear facilities.

On his arrival in Beijing, the South Korean envoy said they need to come up with a clear guideline.

Chun Yung-Woo, Chief ROK nuclear envoy, said, "This is a way that no one has ever traveled, which is very difficult but also important."

Just weeks ago, the five working groups for the Six-Party talks wrapped up their consultation.

The results of their talks will be submitted to this session.

Early this month, a team of nuclear experts from the US, China, and Russia went to the DPRK to examine the Yongbyon plant and discuss the measures of disablement.

The group is also expect to submit its reports to this session.
