Most of the fire in Greece under control

In Greece, most of the forest fire that has ravaged much of the country is now under control, except for the Peloponnese peninsula in the country's south.

Firefighters and soldiers have managed to put out several fires around the historic town of Karitaina on the Peloponnese. Nearly 1,000 Greek soldiers joined the fight Thursday, using bulldozers to dig fire breaks on the roads to help prevent the fire spreading.

Meanwhile, Greece's Foreign Minister has promised to replant all trees lost in the forest fires. He also says the government will ensure land developers do not profit from the tragedy by building on destroyed land.
