How is China's diplomacy being covered by foreign journalists and what do they think about China's role in the world? CCTV repoter Mao Xuzhi spoke to one veteran foreign reporter, who's made a routine of covering the annual NPC and CPPCC sessions.

This is the tenth year Anil Joseph has covered one of China's biggest political events. Just before going to cover a press conference, he shared his insight with CCTV.

1. Joseph, this is the first year foreign reporters can directly contact lawmakers and political advisors for interviews. How does this change what you do?

2. China calls its development a "peaceful rise". But some countries regard China as a world threat. What do you think?

3. With the rise of developing countries like India and China, unilateral is facing great challenges. In your eyes, what role does China play in creating a multi-polar world?

From the success of the China-Africa Forum, to the breakthrough at the Korean Peninsula nuclear talks, China has been an extremely active global player over the past 12 months.
