Tehran says the West's demands that Iran suspend uranium enrichment is what it calls illegal and illogical.

A government spokesman says the demand contradicts Iran's dignity. The country insists it is entitled to nuclear power to generate electricity and wants to negotiate with the Europeans and Washington without giving up its right to enrich uranium.
