China, Mozambique issue joint communique on bilateral co-op

Chinese President Hu Jintao, who's in Mozambique. Already, both countries have issued a joint communique that cover bilateral relations and international issues of common concern.
This follows a meeting between Hu Jintao and his Mozambican leader, Armando Emilio Guebuza. They said they'll step up exchanges between their governments and parliaments and also between the Communist Party of China and the Mozambique Liberation Front Party. They also pledged to do more on economic and trade, as well as across social and cultural fields. On international issues, both sides want to work closer including in to uphold the interests of developing countries.
The two presidents pledged to develop a new China-Africa strategic partnership based on political equality and mutual trust. Mozambique also reaffirmed its commitment to the One-China policy, and its opposition to "Taiwan independence."
