Special Report:   Iraq in Transition

In Iraq, the bodies of Saddam Hussein's half-brother, Barzan Ibrahim and the former chief of Iraq's Revolutionary Court, Awad Hamed al-Bander have been buried. They were laid to rest in an area close to Saddam, in a garden in Awaja.

The two men were executed before dawn on Monday. They were found guilty of the killing of 148 Shiites from Dujail in the 1980s.

Their sentences were carried out 16 days after the former President was executed. Their hangings reportedly took place in the same intelligence headquarters in northern Baghdad where Saddam was executed on December 30th.
