British Prime Minister Tony Blair has finally broken his silence on the mismanaged hanging of former Iraqi President, Saddam Hussein.

At a news conference on Tuesday with visiting Japanese Prime Minister, Shinzo Abe, Blair slammed the manner of execution as "unacceptable" and "completely wrong". He also stressed that crimes committed by the ex-leader did not excuse the way in which he was killed.

The last week has seen senior government ministers in the UK criticize Blair for failing to publicly condemn mismanagement in the execution of Saddam Hussein.
