EU to ban imports of live wild birds after new flu reports

Reacting to new reports of bird flu, the EU has said it will ban imports of live wild birds.

Veterinary experts have also agreed that only 8 countries will be allowed to export captive birds to the bloc. The European Commission is expected to approve the ruling, which will take effect on the first of July.
