6-party talks: Negotiations going well

The spokeswoman for the Chinese delegation to the six-party says negotiations have been progressing well.

Jiang Yu said the discussions have deepened, and a consensus has expanded.

The six countries taking part reiterated that they will seek a peaceful resolution to the DPRK nuclear issue through dialogue, and that they are committed to the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula.

Jiang Yu said the United States and the DPRK have been holding bilateral talks on financial issues over the past few days, a positive development that China welcomes.
