Iraq violence kills 15

A series of attacks by suspected insurgents using guns, bombs and mortar shells have killed 15 Iraqis in the capital. In Thursday's deadliest attack, gunmen opened fire on a bakery in Baghdad, killing nine people.

According to police, those killed in the shooting included both employees and customers of the bakery. In another attack, in Palestine Street, a main road in eastern Baghdad, a roadside bomb exploded beneath a parked car, killing one civilian and wounding six. Three civilians and two Iraqi policemen also died in other attacks in Baghdad on Thursday morning.
