The Vice President of the Buddhist Association of China Xue Cheng believes that each person's mind is similar to a round circle. He says if the behavior of people follows the Buddhist concept of kindness--- a harmonious world can be created.

Xue Cheng, Vice-President of Buddhist Association of China, said, "People whether they have religious beliefs or not, should understand that the aim of living is pursing happiness and giving up sorrow. The current problems in the world. such as the financial crisis, terrorism, separatism and armed conflicts --have only brought with bitterness. A harmonious world needs everyone's efforts to strengthen conditions for this to be possible."

It's the first time for Maaster Da Hang from Taiwan to attend the Buddhism forum. He hopes Buddhists will promote friendship between the people on both sides of the Taiwan straits.

Da Hang, Master of Jingang Temple, Taiwan, said, " Buddhism has a special character--harmony. And harmony results from people giving up their own prejudice and trying to understand each others...and even appreciate the other side. A harmonious world could be reached if people all over the world would do the same."

Master MIng Qi believes that Buddhism can offer people the tools they need to lead a more successful life. She will share with other participants of her views on how to live a life free from anxiety...as well as even approach the end of life, peacefully.
