Volunteers made up a big part of the rescue team in the Sichuan earthquake. Many spent a long time in the quake zone, helping people out in different ways. One year on, what are these volunteers doing? In today's series "Beyond Survival", CCTV reporter Wang Mangmang follows a group of volunteers to one of the remotest villages.

The mountain road is rough, but the volunteers' caravan is used to it. Lin Qitai doesn't remember how many times he's come to the quake zone. He travels from Beijing, gathers his team from Chengdu, and heads out.

Yuli is the only place without a rebuilding plan. The water level in a huge barrier lake below it will determine whether the village will exist or disappear.

Six hours later when we reached our destination, students in this primary school were having dinner. Visitors are rare and we got a big welcome.

Over 1,000 students are at this boarding school, all quake survivors. They are eager to learn and make the most out of life.
