A senior World Health Organization official says there is no evidence to indicate that the A/H1N1 flu is causing a community-level transmission in regions outside of North America.

WHO Assistant Director-General Keiji Fukuda says the disease is still spreading. But most cases in Spain and other European countries have been related to travel.

The alert level is currently at 5 on a scale of 1 to 6, meaning that a pandemic is imminent.
