Suicide car bomber kills 4, wounds eight in Pakistan

A suicide car bomber killed four security forces and wounded eight, as well as wounding several schoolchildren near Pakistan's main northwestern city of Peshawar.

Security officials gather to collect evidence at the site  of a suicide blast near Peshawar May 5, 2009. At least four  security men were killed in a car bomb attack near Pakistan's  main northwestern city of Peshawar on Tuesday, police said.

Officials say the attacker rammed his car into a vehicle carrying the security forces and blew himself up as he approached the checkpoint of a police and paramilitary force on the border of Peshawar and Khyber. The attack comes as Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari and US President Barack Obama prepare to meet later this week in Washington.
