They've only been in Beijing for two days, but the little cubs look quite at ease in their new home. And they're not shy at all with visitors.

The three boys and three girls are all around one-and-a-half years old. They were selected from more than a dozen pandas at the Giant Panda Breeding Base in Ya'an.

The newcomers are proving an instant hit. And it's a big thrill some foreign tourists who are seeing pandas for their first time in their lives.

A tourist from France said, "I know China has done a great job to protect them. That's a good thing, really good thing."
