No cases of swine flu have been detected in France. But the Ministry of Health says the country has been preparing for any potential outbreak.

Speaking from the crisis center in Paris, French Foreign Ministry spokesman Eric Chevallier says the center has been closely monitoring the situation.

It is advising anyone planning to travel to Mexico for non-essential reasons to cancel their trip.

Eric Chevallier, French Foreign Ministry Spokesman, said, "In France, is having a kind of surveillance, epidemiological surveillance, and of course taking care of possible suspected case if this happens. For the moment, it's mainly epidemiological surveillance to see if some suspected case arrives."
