Cross-straits talks set for Nanjing

The Mainland and Taiwan organizations for Cross-Strait relations have confirmed a third round of talks will be held in East China's Nanjing.

Delegations from ARAT and SEF meeting in Taipei say the talks will be held later this month.

At that time, the two sides will sign agreements on regular Cross-Strait flights, financial cooperation, joint fighting against crimes and judicial assistance.

Zheng Lizhong, ARAT Standing Vice President, said, "On the 25th of this month, the ARATS vice president and the SEF deputy chairman will have a working talk. On the morning of the 26th, there will be formal talks between the leaders of two sides, and in the afternoon, the agreement on the 3 issues will be signed."

KAO koonglian, SEF Deputy Chairman, said, "Through one-day intensive negotiations, we have reached much consensus. I believe the talks will lay a solid foundation for further development between the Chinese Mainland and Taiwan island."
