Thai PM appeals to protesters to return home

Thailand's Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva is calling for the public to remain calm. In a nationally televised address on Monday, he appealed to the demonstrators to return to their homes, and said the government was using the softest measures against them.

Abhisit Vejjajiva, Thai Prime Minister said "I want to tell the people not to panic and to understand the work of the police and the soldiers. Everything is done using the softest measures possible. Weapons won't be used by our side unless for self-defense. In the next three days the government will keep working to return peace and order to the country."
