With the economy slowly recovering, many migrant workers  who returned home after losing their jobs, are now heading  for the cities again to look for new jobs. But the children  they took home with them will be facing a difficult time  being left behind.

Before October last year, Fan Yunfei would never have imagined life without his parents. But the financial crisis broke out, and his parents were both laid off.

The family had to return to their hometown. Now the parents are away again looking for new jobs, leaving the 11-year-old with his grandfather.
