President Hu returns to Beijing after attending G20 summit

BEIJING, April 4 (Xinhua) --Chinese President Hu Jintao arrived in Beijing Saturday morning after attending the second Group of 20(G20) financial summit in London since April 1.

The Summit, which was held at the ExCel center in east London, brought together leaders of the G20, and representatives of international and regional groups, and financial institutions to work cooperatively to restore stability and stimulate global economic growth.

President Hu delivered a keynote speech at the summit on Thursday, calling for strengthening macroeconomic policy coordination, advancing reform of the international financial system, and improving financial supervision and regulation.

On the sidelines of the summit, Hu attended a reception hosted by Queen Elizabeth II and met with Britain's Prince Charles.

He also held talks with his U.S. counterpart Barack Obama, British Prime Minister Gordon Brown, Russian President Dmitry Medvedev and other leaders from the G20 states, on bilateral ties as well as international and regional issues of common concern.

The G20 consists of China, Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, South Korea, Turkey, Britain, the United States, and the European Union.
