Chinese president meets S Korean president, says ready to deepen bilateral relations

LONDON, April 3 (Xinhua) -- China is ready to work with South Korea to promote bilateral relations, said Chinese President Hu Jintao here Friday at a meeting with his South Korean counterpart Lee Myung-bak.

Hu spoke highly of the sound development momentum for bilateral relations and expressed his satisfaction with it.

Hu said China and South Korea are important neighbors and cooperative partners, and the development of bilateral ties is not only in the fundamental interest of the two countries and their peoples, but also conducive to peace, stability and prosperity in the region.
