The West Railway Station is the busiest of the four stations in Beijing.

Twenty-three of the twenty-five new trains start from here. One is the high speed train to Taiyuan, which cuts travel time from 8 hours to 3.

Jin Long, Deputy Manager of Beijing West Station said, "More than ninety percent of the train tickets have been sold. The tickets for several high speed trains are all gone. The change is saving more time for our passengers."

This is the first change to the nationwide network timetable in ten years.

The railway officials told reporters passenger capacity will increase by 10 percent.
