China´s railway adopts new operation diagram

China Ministry of Railways has implemented new plans for operation. Passenger transport flow will now increase by nearly 11 percent. Meanwhile, operation times between major cities have been greatly reduced.

More than 170 passenger trains are part of the new scheme. Most of the trains are high-speed Electric Multiple Units, covering 18 provinces, municipalities directly under the Central Government, and autonomous regions.

The trains operating on major routes have also been upgraded. Operations from Beijing to Shanghai, Nanjing, and Suzhou will be supported by EMU's with sleeping cars. Two new passenger routes between Shijiazhuang and Taiyuan, as well as Hefei and Wuhan have also been opened.

Train speeds along the routes can now reach 250 kilometers per hour. The new plan further improves China's railway system.
