NPC meetings review government work

The NPC session held its third and fourth meetings on Thursday at the Great Hall of the People. The meetings were chaired by standing chairman of the presidium, Wu Bangguo.

The two meetings reviewed the work reports of the NPC Standing Committee, the Supreme People's Court and the Supreme People's Procuratorate.

Legislators also adopted drafts of the government work report, the economic and social development plan, and the government budget plan. These reports will be submitted to the plenary meeting for approval.

The NPC session has received more than 500 bills, ranging from employment to social security.
