President Hu Jintao joined a panel discussion with NPC deputies from Tibet. He called for efforts to implement the policies and plans of the central government to improve Tibet's economic development and the lives of local people. President Hu Jintao stressed the importance of development and stability in Tibet, and asked them to continue their work to consolidate political unity.
