Legislation to improve legal system

The NPC Standing Committee is responsible for drafting new laws and making revisions to existing laws, part of the process of improving China's legal system. New legislation and draft laws will be passed this year affecting social, economic, political and cultural issues. The chairman of the NPC Standing Committee, Wu Bangguo, delivered that message at the ongoing National People's Congress session on Monday.
