Chinese lawyers pledged to continue their efforts to bring two looted bronze sculptures back home. Their bid in a Parisian court to stop the two being auctioned at Christie's has been quashed. But the lawyers are vowing to take further steps towards halting the sculptures' sale.

The Chinese lawyers filed the case under the name of the Association for the Protection of Chinese Art in Europe.

The court ruling said the plaintiff was not entitled to file the motion because it did not have direct links with the two bronze sculptures.

The lawyers are disappointed about the French court ruling, but must accept it.

Ren Xiaohong, lawyer representing APACE, said, "The significance of filing the lawsuit was to draw the public's attention in China to help keep those relics protected."
