Most of the interest centers on a provision allowing Chinese citizens to pay pension premiums in one place and get payments in another cities or province.

The draft law is also getting praise for letting people pay premiums and enjoy social insurance for medical care, work injuries, unemployment and childbirth.

The public wants better financial support from the government for social insurance. Currently only 12 percent of the country's total financial spending goes to social insurance. That compares with 30 to 40 percent in developed countries. Most people in China are looking forward to the law being implemented.
