Afghan President meets Obama´s special envoy

Afghan President Hamid Karzai says his US counterpart Barack Obama has accepted his proposal for Afghanistan to take part in a strategic US review of the Afghan war.

The US is studying the situation in Afghanistan at a time of worsening violence, and Washington is thinking about sending up to 30-thousand more troops to the country.

Obama's special envoy to Afghanistan said the US president welcomed Karzai's suggestion.
