The Hunan Provincial health bureau confirmed another case of bird flu on Saturday. Authorities say a 21-year-old farmer contracted bird flu in China's central Hunan province.

The Hunan Provincial health bureau confirmed another case  of bird flu on Saturday.

The woman fell ill on January the 23rd in Xupu County. She was hospitalized immediately and tested positive for the H5N1 strain of bird flu. Her condition is said to have improved.

An investigation has found that the woman had contact with birds that died of the disease before she fell ill. China has reported five deaths from bird flu this year.
